David counts the number of men in Israel

23The LORD had promised to make Israel a nation with as many people as there are stars in the sky. So David did not count the men who were only 20 years old or less. 24Zeruiah’s son, Joab had begun to count the men but he did not finish. The LORD was angry with Israel because David had started to count them. So nobody wrote the number in the book about King David’s life.
